Helping Your Child Adjust to a New School Environment

A New School Environment

How to help your kids assimilate in their new school

As immigrants, your children are probably facing culture shock. This can make it difficult for them to assimilate into a normal school environment or even make friends. They may feel lonely and unable to communicate or relate to other children. This is where our Chinese school in New York can help your little one.

Here are a few ways we can help your children assimilate into school:

  • English Classes

One of the best ways to help your children settle into their new environment is by teaching them the local language – English in this case. We offer weekend English classes that can help them master the language. This will help them communicate much more effectively with their classmates and other people, and it will go a long way in ensuring that they can fit in and make friends.

  • Academics

Through our international studies in Bayside, New York, we offer a variety of academic topics and classes for your children. This can help them maintain their grades and catch up with their subjects and peers.

  • Counseling

It is hard moving to a foreign country. For this reason, we offer counseling services that can help your children get adjusted. We also offer summer school programs that can help.

Asian American Coalition for Education is committed to helping your children adjust to their new home, so they are able to excel and reach their potential. We offer a variety of classes and services that will make their studies overseas much easier.
